Time Machine Contracting & Restoration - Orlando

Reading these reviews after my insurance company’s contractor service assigned Unlimited Restoration to be our contractor for restoration of our home and rental house after severe flooding from Hurricane Ian made me feel confident we had made a good choice. Unfortunately our experience was far different from the reviews I read. We did not interact with any of the people mentioned in the reviews. The drywall/texture crew that was sent to our houses was inexperienced and not supervised. The quality of work was terrible. They did not protect our floors and got texture droppings and drywall dust all over the floors, appliances, switches and outlets. They left a mountain of trash and construction debris, including food waste, piled in our carport for weeks. The outlets and switches were not cut properly and almost all outlets and most switches are crooked. The crew drywalled over several electrical outlets and moved some altogether. They even drywalled underneath the AC air handler and cut off the intake, which caused the central AC unit to overheat and stop working. Unlimited Restoration did not pull the required permits, putting us in violation of city and FEMA codes. Communication was terrible and we were never notified when workers would be here or when there wouldn’t be anyone here for weeks. We notified them that we were terminating the contract so we could hire a contractor that would pull the required permits and finish the job. We asked for an invoice for the work performed. Three months after notifying them we were sent a copy of the original estimate and billed for work not completed and materials not used. We were also billed $15,000.00 in contract termination fees which were not stipulated in the contract we signed, only costs incurred to date of termination. They were not able to give me an accurate record of the work that was done so we had to tell the General Manager what work was completed and what materials were used in order to try to get an accurate invoice. During this discussion we were threatened with involvement of the legal department at least three times. We still feel the final totals were too high for the quality of work done and the amount of money we had to spend to fix the most obvious problems but we settled so we could move on. We have been out of our house for ten months. Unlimited Restoration took a bad situation and made it much more stressful by not doing what they promised. We really hope that no other homeowner has the same awful experience but we felt it was important to share ours.

I am very grateful that Unlimited Restoration Inc. was the company that performed the work at my house. The managers Mr.Casanova, Mr. Oscar and all the workers were very professional, knowledgeable, and respectful. They made sure that the work done was to their and my satisfaction. What made the company special was that every task had its own professional men to complete the work. After each completion ,Osceola County would inspect and approve all the work done. I truly recommend Unlimited Inc. to anyone who is searching for an excellent company . ACJ.

Chris Viera is the BEST. He literally saved our apartment from being infested with mold when our building management company couldn't seem to do that. He is attentive, checks in and cares about his clients. Would highly recommend using this company, specifically working with Chris Viera.

We are currently 7 months past our renovation well when it was "completed." Tony silva and his crew were nothing if not a problem. The work had to be fixed to code several times before I would sign the COS. Now that the work has been done we are still having problems and I will not be using the 5 year maintenance contract, instead I'd rather pay for a decent company and crew to do a job the correct way the first time. The rest of the people at T and S restoration were fantastic. I highly recommend avoiding Tony silva and his crew. He may come off as very accommodating, but it's completely in the eyes of his company and not the people they were working for.

T&S Restoration was referred by my insurance company and my family really appreciated their services! Tony, David, and Javier are the best, there are no words to explain how they made us feel comfortable, they went above and beyond! Gods blessings and continued success.

I was referred to T&S Restoration by my insurance company for a kitchen cabinet rebuild after a mold remediation. Monica was my project manager and she was wonderful throughout the entire process. She was professional and knowledgeable about the work that needed to be done and kept me informed all along the way. She was accommodating with my work schedule. The cabinet installation went smoothly. Miguel was the cabinet installer and his work was excellent. Very pleased with my rebuild. Would highly recommend.

We had our air ducts done. The guys were very knowledgeable answered all of our questions put us at ease with our concerns dealing with the anti microbial solution that they sprayed into my air conditioning unit. Tonight we are breathing better because of them. Thanks guys we will use you again and also we are referring your company to our air conditioning company so happy with your service. Thanks again

I have been using Steamatic of Central Florida for years. They are truly the best - and I mean the BEST. from the first call to the job completion they are upfront - honest- skilled - diligent-professional- affordable. OH ! YES ! I SAID HONEST. and that is a rare quality. I RECOMMEND THEM TO EVERYONE needing service. They are a diamond in the rough. Try them you will be glad you did. There is nothing to loose.

We have been customers for years and Steamatic always does a fantastic job on our carpets, area rugs, sofas, and sealing our tile grout. John is punctual, friendly and informative about preparing for the work and putting things back after everything has dried. He goes the extra mile to make the whole process as convenient as can be.

I'm not much on posting reviews, but a month or so ago I was having a septic issue, so I checked around, made a few calls, then I called Doug at Rocket Rooter Plumbing....he said tomorrow or maybe he can get his tech to me later in the afternoon. .. Great, Jason (i believe his name was) showed up a couple hours later and went right to work. To make a Long story short....it wasn't an easy job as my septic was under my stone landscaping and poured concrete edging..... but this gentleman did a fine job, he worked through the obstacles and we decided to put risers in... beautiful job... I can't be more impressed. Call Doug at ROCKET ROOTER PLUMBING and I think you will be happy you did.

Yesterday I contacted Doug. I was having issues with my septic backing up. Due to hurricane Ian he could not send anyone out. He was helpful over the phone for some things to do and set an appointment for today. The crew showed up early!! Really nice couple of young men. Got right to work. Within an hour they had completed pumping out my espy tank and cleaned the filter! Very professional crew! Thanks Doug!! I highly recommend these folks if you have plumbing needs, especially septic, since that is the only service have used so far.

Needed my septic drained after 8 years and called this company. They sent out Lionel who had a great attitude and was very knowledgeable. He was genuine with providing tips on the septic service l in addition to draining the septic quickly. I would most certainly recommend this company if you live in the area.

As a 73 yr old widow, there are some home maintenance jobs that I just can’t handle. Barry has come to my rescue on a number of occasions. He is very skilled at what he does as well as being pleasant and affordable! In fact, he’s coming back later this week for another repair that I asked him about! Thanks again Barry!

Berry is a very good guy to have on your handyman list. Installed a gutter for me, changed some sprinkler heads, and cleaned other gutters. He’s removed a dead tree from my back-yard. I wonder if there’s anything he can’t do! He is really reasonable and a nice guy to boot! Give him a call next time you need something done — he’s your man!

Barry was super nice and did a fantastic job! He came out and got the job done quickly. Very reasonably priced! He went above and beyond to make the yard perfect. Everything looked fantastic, I highly recommend.

Poor construction, more concerned about reaching their end of fiscal year figures, take no responsibility, leave the homeowner to deal with the mess and they feel it is not their issue to take care of. Pre and post closing has been a nightmare. I paid over $666k for home that was constructed, what it seems like, by beginners. I’ve requested 9 times for Portable bathroom to be removed for obvious reasons and absolutely no action has been taken. All departments have dropped the ball and they ADMIT that they did but no action has been taken. There is one person trying to fix things and that is Emily Wears. She reached out to me days after closing because no one else did. Typically when you close on new construction there is a nice happy CONGRATULATIONS but Lennar can’t congratulate because they know that they screwed up. Two of three walk-in showers had to be completely redone leaving us one bathroom for 4 days! I hired a private inspector, provided the report and the construction department did not address the major issues because the manager ADMITTED he did not read the entire report, he reviewed the first page. Cabinets do not match, brought to Lennar’s attention 3 times prior to closing, cigarette buds inside and outside the home, bottle full of urine in the home, closing did not occur when it was supposed to because title never provided figures but Lennar states I never wired the funds. The end result costing me and my family more $$$ out if our pockets because we had movers, two trucks, and living with friends because Lennar was disorganized and had absolutely no regard for anyone. The only concern they had to CLOSE BY NOVEMBER 30th. The list of issues is extremely lengthy.

I bought a few and sold many Lennar homes. I live here in Storey Park. I love the neighborhood, location and my neighbors. Construction is pretty good in all of the homes I sold including my own. But my next door neighbor, who bought it without a realtor, had a LOT of problems with their sewer, eventually after two years Lennar did find them a place to stay and chipped the floor open to redo their plumbing though. I have to say, the CDD and property tax is high, BUT we don't lose power and water in Hurricanes like some of the old neighborhoods do. HOA is also a bit high but includes cable and basic internet which is sufficient even for my son's gaming (he hard wired his room with a cord). All in all, if you buy with Lennar in a big community that goes on for a few years at a time, quality is pretty good. Better than Mattamy, better than Pulte, at least in my community of Storey Park.

DONT BUY HERE. We bought our first home here, NIGHTMARE. Horrible customer service after you buy. Quality of home is BAD. You are welcome to visit my home and I’ll show you why you shouldn’t buy one from Lennar. Bad finishes, leaking showers, pavers in driveway sinking, broken lamps, poorly painted, broken kitchen cabinets, blinds don’t work, . Been living here for 5 months and they won’t fix these problems.
