If you've never had the opportunity to view a sea turtle in the wild, Loggerhead Marinelife Center provides a chance to see them up close, in captivity, while they rehabilitate from injuries attained in the wild. As tourist attractions go, it's one of the gems of the North County that provides a must-see experience that is hard to find virtually anywhere else. The number and variety of turtles you see will change from visit to visit based on how many turtles are recuperating at the time. Also, you might see a turtle in the surgery if you visit at the right time. There's also a fantastic gift shop, food stand, aquarium tanks full of local fish and a play area for small children.

Great educational center. They do an amazing job saving turtles. All the people working there were very nice, professional and knowledgeable. They answered all our questions. We went for the turtle festival but Loggerhead Marinelife center was the best part of the festival. My son loved the turtles and the sharks. There are restrooms on premises. The educational center had many games for kids. My son had a blast and he wants to come back tomorrow. The center operates on donations only so there is no admission fee. The donations go to wild life support, so highly recommend to donate. Some of the turtles are not able to go back to the ocean so they live there all the time. The turtles that are able to recuperate are released in the ocean. Some turtles are very very big. Definitely we will be back.

We had a fabulous experience at the Loggerhead Marine life Centre. The staff at the reception were very welcoming and you have the option to donate which we were delighted to do since all donations are going toward the rehabilitation of the sea turtles and upkeep of the centre facilities. The staff around the centre are extremely knowledgeable, nice and very keen to answer any questions. The facilities are very clean and walkable and great for family and children. Even my teenage son loved it so that says a lot

What a beautiful day to enjoy at the pier. The crystal clear water is so magical and refreshing. Was a perfect day and I'm sure every day is a perfect day for who whenever visiting this place

Has A small shop where you pay to get on the pier. They have drinks, hot dog specials, clothing, little things you need very convenient. The view of the water from the pier the water was so blue. Felt like I was in the Keys. You can see it in the pictures. On the south side of the pier you had people surfing and on the left side the north side of the pier was your swimmers and shell picker uppers. I was looking for shark's teeth. I didn't find any but another couple did. It was a fun place. Definitely will go back. We were in the right spot at the right time with the storm coming in and I got some cool photos of that. Was hoping for a water spout. It's the only thing on my list of storms I have not seen but no luck on that day.

Clean, safe and beautiful! Staff is wonderful and great with fishing instruction, shout out to Matt, senior pier attendant. Gorgeous photos to be taken under the pier with the waves. I love this place!!!
