Unfortunately the finishing touches and a few problems weren't addressed and I probably got a little overheated in my communications to these guys for which I apologize. I'm not that guy anymore and nothing gets resolved by being a jerk, the way I was. Hopefully a peaceful resolution can be found between them and my mom. I'll start out of it from here on it.

After a water line burst while we were out of town, SERVPRO rode in to the rescue. We had significant demolition work that had to be done which was led capably, competently and with great empathy by Ken. He communicated with me at every point through the process and helped us weather what was a true life crisis as an all-around good human being. (And he stayed calm when I wasn't.) He told me once "I think about your house every bit as much as you do." It was obvious in every way that he, in fact, did. Greenpoint Restoration was hired to restore my home after a water leak was discovered and my home had suffered water damage. David, the construction manager, came out to give an initial estimate to do the work and said they would be back the next day to start the job, starting first with removing the water heater which caused the leak and damage. They came back to my home 3 days later after several phone calls to start the demolition process, days later than initially spoke of. During which time the leak continued, and the water heater was never removed. They then proceeded to remove carpet, drywall, flooring, insulation that they said had been damaged. After these items were removed they placed drying equipment and said it would need to remain for approximately 72-96 hours, as the leak continued. From the time the leak was discovered until the time I hired a third party to remove the water heater, my Family went without hot water for approximately 1 1/2 to 2 weeks. Devin, the project manager, then came out after the equipment had been in place for less than 48 hours and removed the drying equipment and said that David would be giving me a call the following Monday so that they could start the repair process. I contacted Devin back that evening to let him know that they leak was still present, and he stated that he would be back the following morning to look over things and see what needed to be done. Devin never showed up and I was unable to reach him by phone. I then was forced to use a third party to stop the leak after several days, and further damage to my home. After the leak was stopped by the third party and removal of the water heater I continued to call Greenpoint in regards to the repairs to restore my home to its original condition. I also contacted my insurance adjuster for advice on how to handle the situation, being Greenpoint had invoiced for more days of drying that what had been done, and the job-site was still leaking, and further abandoned. I left multiple messages for Devin and David in regards to the repairs. I tried to contact the main office number in later days, but it was no longer their phone number so I began trying to research how to contact them. A couple weeks later I finally was able to reach a voicemail for the owner and left him a message. He contacted me back and we discussed the entire situation, he apologized and said that they had completely dropped the ball and he would have Devin get in contact with me. Devin contacted me, expressed how sorry he was for himself being at fault for a job not completed in a timely manner, or at all for that matter, and scheduled a time to come to my home to meet. Once he arrived he once again apologized for the entire situation, my family's distress, and the inconvenience, and signed the insurance check for the demolition and drying over to me. To this day I have still not had any contact from Greenpoint in regards to the repairs of my home which still have not been completed.

I live in a student apartment, and my apartment was leaking water from the roof and my apartment complex hired these people to come and dry out my carpets and clean them. It’s crazy how these people don’t understand how effective communication works especially if they know how important it is for, their clients and their customers to do and not to do things so they came and put some dryers into my room. My room is very small so it took up all the space there was not much walking room and mind you they put them in my room on Friday so it would’ve been there throughout the weekend plus Monday because it was a holiday they came Tuesday so the dryers have been in my apartment for four days and a gentleman knocks on my door doesn’t even wait 10 seconds for me to open it open my apartment door tells me he’s here to clean my carpet and immediately is rude Talking to me as if I’m a child asking why the drivers they put in my room were outside of my room and I explained to him why and he immediately is saying that shouldn’t have happened. You could’ve damaged the equipment and that’s not an issue. I understand that but nobody communicated that to me and if no one was in the apartment, you could’ve told the people that hired you in the first place to tell me that because effective communication goes along way, if you don’t let me know if you don’t let anybody know why would you expect anyone to know what you would have wanted he continued to go back and forth terrible Service and terrible employee another gentleman who actually cleaned my carpets told me what I should and should not do for my carpet to dry effectively and quickly and that’s how you communicate. Terrible job as well. No one should be walking around that rude and miserable

If you’re looking for any kind of floor cleaning, I highly recommend this company! They even were able to clean an area rug I thought I was going to have to get rid of. Don’t sleep on them!

This company was great. I had storm damage which turned into a mold issue due to delay issues with a crappy contractor in the beginning. When it finally came time to get the mold remediation done, they came out quick and did an amazing job. I’ve been very fortunate to have been referred to them and they were the nicest guys to work with. And I had a million questions too, but they never acted annoyed or put off by them! Just good, knowledgeable people.

ServPro of Tallahassee , and the service it provides, is nothing short of exceptional. We had the unfortunate fallout from a giant tree landing on our roof. Damage to numerous rooms in the house was significant. Once the tree was removed, ServPro of Tallahassee moved in and immediately started demolition and cleanup, while carefully protecting unaffected areas of the house. Robert Philbrick and his wonderful team were there every day until the job was done. During that time, communication was ongoing. If we could give them more than a 5 star rating, we certainly would. Thank you ServPro Team!

So there are a few good qualities but I'll express the negative and reasoning for the rating. 2/2 condo in Tally with roommates when one roommate left this December she removed a screw put in the end of September. causing a hole in the water heater. had plumber come in and patch the line (great service from plumber). He recommended I had it dried by water restoration company. I picked servpro (you know funny commercials and stuff) They came I told them what happened. (!!! all this is over the telephone I'm in Broward county!!!) I needed the water dried. The technician set up the equipment to dry the area over the weekend. On Monday I was contacted that there was evidence of a prior leak and that this leak might have moved into the shared common wall. I understood and I gave permission to dry the common wall if intruded on. The Tech then calls me and states that he see's microbial growth and believes that its from a slow leak from the initial puncture. (Shared wall with the water heater.) later he texts me and talks to me that depending on the conditions they may need to get the condo association involved and this may be a large project. etc etc. At that point he sends me a picture of the status of the wall. I replied just dry it I'll get an inspector to come in and inspect the condition. (mold intrusion) Now I get the assessment and invoice, and I get concerned. (technically I was concerned when I saw them open my daughters non affected room) They classified the water leaked from the water heater as "black water" Class 3 So ( class 1 clean water from busted pipes, Class 2 "grey water" containing harmful contaminants usually chemicals, and class 3) I deal with class 3 all the time as a firefighter in south fl in flood prone zones and on deployment after a hurricane. This is harmful to life and safety, hazaardous material, fuel dangerous items or sitting water so long that it was become biologically dangerous. Black Mold around standing water can make it black water. Servpro doesn't test black mold they dont even say black mold they just say 'Microbial signs" which seems their push to charge for a class 3 water clean up. Their spill classification was correct the square footage I had a problem with also. The picture of the final product was not close the the picture sent to me when I requested, they "just dry the area" in fact My cameras pick up 15 min or so after the text exchange still using a rotary saw before I hear then start using the vacuum clean the area they said they would. sections cut but not removes where removes along with insulation "after" my exchange with the tech. So in this process they catch on to my cameras, a lot of the standing around walking around on their phones stop. So they are at the end of the project and they opened my daughters room, stare and the camera and the door closes (door is on a slope hinge and closes if not held open) then it pops open and you "you heard that noise to right? Yeah! (being said into the room) The other cameras just pick up a show until one of them just says "well im just getting out of here!) Thats my review and its a review from someone who has to pass the cost to the party that made the damage. I just don't like being hosed and that's partially what happened and the acting shady at the end just drove it home. Love the video comment before opening the door "yea she's a female"

Chad and his crew are incredible. They showed up as soon as I called with my leaky pipes that ruined my flooring. They got the floors drying right away. They are very responsive with my phone calls and all my questions. He completely walked me through the insurance process. I would highly recommend Chad and his professional team.

I don't normally go online and do reviews, but these guys are awesome. I would like to say that I would do business with them again, but they did such a good job, that I don't think they will need to come back. They didn't come into the house and try to sell me a bunch of stuff I didn't need. They showed me the problems and explained to me my options. I never felt pressured to go with the highest priced options......they even took care of a few minor repairs of things that popped up unexpectedly while making the "quoted" repairs (and my overall bill didn't change). They have made a point to reach out to me multiple times (without being annoying, or giving the feeling they are trying to sell me anything), to check on the system, or to make sure everything is running the way I want. Bottom line, I can't name many times that a company has provided this kind of service after the sale. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone (friend/family, etc). I know I am rambling at this point in the review, but I almost feel like I haven't said enough good things about them. If you need this type of service, CALL THEM, or you will most likely regret going with anyone else.

In this day and age it's very rare to find a company that backs up what they say, without giving you any run-around. But that's what you get with SRT. Chad is a stand up guy, and if he tells you something, you can take it to the bank. Not only is he very honest and upfront, but he really knows his stuff, and his guys do excellent work. Considering the nature of his business, I'm hoping I never have to use him again. However, if I did he'd be the first restoration company I would call. If you want a local company, that is professional, and actually cares, call Chad at SRT.
